The Veriflat Ref. 6512 boasts the record of the slimmest Oyster case ever made, thanks to the company’s talented technicians. They engraved the fluting directly into the metal and used a 1000 calibre movement. Although it was a spin-off of the 1030 calibre, the new movement is hand-wound which allows for its thinness at only 3.45mm.
The Veriflat Ref. 6512 standard version has the word Precision on the subsidiary seconds dial, whilst the exclusive version bears the words Officially Certified Chronometer.
Rolex produced the model in 18kt gold only, yellow or rose, for increase its elegance and prestige.
The dial is silver, with applied hour markers, dauphine hands and auxiliary seconds at 6 o’ clock has fine engine tuning.
The Veriflat, produced from 1955 to 1962, is today a collector’s item and a rare specimen in the Rolex universe.
